MLS Predictions Week 23 2023

New York Red Bulls vs FC Cincinnati

Thursday the 13thTh July, 00:30 BST

Our MLS Week 23 2023 prediction kicks off in the Big Apple as the Red Bull Arena hosts the match between the New York Red Bulls and FC Cincinnati in the high octane Eastern Conference clash.

The players have improved since the start of the season but will it be enough to get on the road? Meanwhile on the outside looking in, the Red Bulls can count on Cameron Harper and Frankie Amaya making the difference in key attacking moments.

FC Cincinnati are the leaders, not only in the Eastern Conference but it looks like they can go to the Supporters’ Shield as they are at the top of the table with a healthy 45 points. The franchise has only lost two games all season thanks to a superior defense.

Prediction: FC Cincinnati is a sports team and played well at Red Bull Arena. Another win for them is on the cards.

New England Revolution vs Atlanta United

Thursday the 13thTh July, 00:30 BST

Bruce Arena will not be happy because the New England Revolution gave up a point at the end of their game against the New York Red Bulls. A group can be one of the games the best MLS teams this season if it wasn’t for the many inconsistent results.

The same can be said for Atlanta United. Despite winning their last two matches, they have had some odd results, including a 4-0 loss to the New York Red Bulls a few games ago. Brooks Lennon and by the best MLS players at the moment after scoring in consecutive games.

Prediction: With both teams in the top five in the Eastern Conference, this should be a strong contender. Atlanta will go into better form to grab a win at the death in what could be one of the most interesting picks in MLS Week 23 Predictions 2023.

Nashville SC vs Philadelphia Union

Thursday the 13thTh July, 01:30 BST

It seems that all the top teams in the east will meet in the middle of the week because this game represents another game of the Eastern Conference. The second-place team, Nashville SC will host last year’s MLS Cup finalists, the Philadelphia Union.

The Geodis Park faithful have won three in a row at home, although the away form has not been of the same kind or quality, as evidenced by the 1-0 loss to Chicago Fire on the road last week. Although the franchise can be explained by the success of Hany MukhtarThe 2022 MVP, too, has it Randall Leal. The Costa Rican has shown his ability in front of goal after scoring two against DC United.

Finding Andrew Blake getting back in the middle of the stick will be very important for the Philadelphia Union. Unfortunately, he is still playing with Jamaica in the CONCACAF Gold Cup, meaning he will not be available for the match. However, Jim Curtin‘s team is still full of inconsistencies outside to save space. After all, last week the team lost 3-1 to the worst team of the season, LA Galaxy, in a terrible defeat.

Prediction: Jim Curtin may have secured himself a new contract until 2026, but that won’t help the Union here at Geodis Park. Nashville should have enough fireworks to win at home.

San Jose Earthquakes vs Seattle Sounders

Thursday the 13thTh July, 03:30 BST

Our MLS Week 23 2023 prediction ends in the Western Conference as PayPal Park has a great game between San Jose Earthquakes and Seattle Sounders. The game could be shaken up in the conference with only six points separating the teams before kick-off.

San Jose was off to a great start to the 2023 season, picking up plenty of points that led to a solid promotion in the conference. However, results have actually dropped with just one win in their last five as they continue to slide. They are now seventh in the table. However, West’s preoccupation could see them return to the league.

2-1 down with less than 20 minutes to play? No problem for the Seattle Sounders. Brian Schmetzer’s men made a big difference at the weekend as they had little time left with an hour to go. Leo Chu scored second and Yeimar Gomez Andrade scored the stoppage time winner against the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Prediction: San Jose may be at home but the Seattle Sounders are in top form and are coming in hot for this week 23 MLS season. This should be a far-reaching victory.
