Sailor Tim Shaddock and His Dog Rescued After 2 Months at Sea

The beach is perfect for the Australian sailor and his canine companion.

Tim Shaddock, 51, and her dog Bella were recently rescued after spending two months at sea. The two were found sailing in the Pacific Ocean and a tuna boat headed back to the coast of Mexico, according to 9 Stories.

“I’ve had the worst experience at sea,” Shaddock told The Australian newspaper. “I just need some rest and good food because I’ve been alone at sea for so long. Otherwise, I’m in very good health.”

Shaddock set sail from La Paz, Mexico, to French Polynesia three months ago, however, a hurricane blew out her furnace a month into the voyage, destroying all electrical equipment.

The Sydney native said he and Bella survived rainwater and raw fish caught in the gear they were on.

He went on to say: “I haven’t had food for a long time—enough food.”

The doctor treating Shaddock on the trawler told 9News that the ship’s captain had “normal symptoms.”
