WhatsApp has recently released a feature that will simplify the process of starting a conversation with other users, even before their number is saved as a contact. The new service, available for iOS and Android phones, will allow you to start a conversation with a stranger by simply entering their phone number into the app. In the past, users who did not want to start a chat with an unknown user without saving their number as a contact had to use different methods that were cumbersome or required installing another application.
Visible and WABetaInfo, the ability to start a chat with an unknown person was recently released for the Meta messaging service. You can simply enter the user’s phone number after updating WhatsApp from the Google Play store or Apple’s App Store to start using the new app.
Previously, users had to download a third-party app that would initiate new chats on WhatsApp, or type wa.me/ into their browser’s address bar followed by the phone number of the person they want to contact. However, these methods are not as user friendly as the new feature that allows you to start chatting with a guest from within the app.
Gadgets 360 was able to confirm that the functionality is working as intended on the latest WhatsApp for iOS and WhatsApp for Android. If you want to start using the new feature, you can follow the steps in the guide below.
