Ty Pennington is in danger after being admitted to the hospital in an emergency.
The Ultimate Update: Home Edition star said he spent several days in the intensive care unit after suffering a sudden respiratory failure last week.
“On Sunday I hit the red carpet Barbie“On Monday I flew to Colorado to start filming in Breckinridge and on Tuesday morning I woke up at 4am and I couldn’t breathe,” Pennington. he wrote on the Instagram carousel on July 14. “Apparently the sore throat Ive had for the past month was actually an abscess that was so large it was blocking my airway.”
A cyst is a bag of pus that can affect any part of the body, according to Cleveland Clinic. In Pennington’s case, the scandal led to an “exciting week” for the 58-year-old, which saw him rushed to hospital.
“The next thing I know, I was intubated and flown to the ICU in Denver,” he recalled. “On Wednesday I had surgery and yesterday afternoon I was discharged from the ICU.”
