Russia launches new offensive in Odesa as missiles kill two and destroy historic church


The Russian army launched a new attack in Odesa that destroyed a church and killed two and injured 18.

Ukrainian President Volodmyr Zelensky has vowed to avenge the bombing that injured 18 people on Sunday night.

One missile tore through the roof of the old building and fell into the basement, collapsing many of the interior walls of the church.

Two people inside were injured.

Two people died and 18 others were injured in the blast.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said: “Arrows against peaceful cities, residential buildings, a large church.”

“There will be revenge for the Russian terrorists of Odesa.

“He will feel this revenge.”

Television footage shows a distraught man walking around the burning church and repeating, “This church is no more.”
