Publishers may be on the way out, thanks to the proliferation of digital files, but it is unlikely that they will disappear anytime soon. Fortunately, you don’t need a computer to print files. Instead, you can do it directly from your smartphone. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you learn how to print files from your themes An Android phone.
There are several ways to print files from your Android phone. Not only has Android been great for printing, but the best inkjet and photo printers have been getting new features to enable wireless printing. If you have to print from your iPhone or iPad, see our other guide. For this guide, we are focusing on Android devices.
How to print a file/document from your Android phone or tablet
Android has built-in printing services, but you may need a separate printer app, which can easily be installed as part of this process. This is how it is.
Step 1: If you haven’t installed a printer, you need to do this first.
Step 2: Go to Favorites > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Printing.
Step 3: Choose Add a job. The Google Play Store will open.
Step 4: Choose your printer type and Apply program.
Step 5: Now find the file you want to print. You can print from Files, Google Docs, Google Sheets, or any number of apps that support printing. We’ll be using Files, but the instructions are the same for several programs.
Step 6: Open the file and select the three vertical dots in the upper right corner.
Step 7: Choose Print it from the list.
Step 8: Your printout should appear at the top of the page. If not, choose it Select a printer and choice All publishers > Add a printer.
Part 9: Select the print function of your printer. This method scans your Wi-Fi network and locates your printer.
Part 10: Go back to the print page and select it Print it button.
How to print something online from your Android phone or tablet
You don’t have to download anything to print, though. Instead, you can simply print directly from the Internet. You can do this on any mobile or tablet browser, and the process is the same. We have used Chrome for this guide.
As mentioned above, you need to make sure that your printer is installed, so follow the steps above if you haven’t already.
Step 1: Open Chrome and go to the page you want to print.
Step 2: Open the three-dot list at the top right and select it Share it.
Step 3: Now choose Print it.
Step 4: Select your printer, and click the button Print it button.
How to print using email on Android
Printer manufacturers have been building features into their printers that provide email addresses for printers. What this means is that you can email the printer with the document you want to print, and it will automatically print it. Setting this up varies from manufacturer to manufacturer, so if you encounter a problem, we recommend checking your printer’s manual or contacting the manufacturer.
Also, we’re using Gmail as an example here, and other email clients may have slightly different methods or features. The process should be the same, however.
Step 1: Open your preferred email client and create a new email.
Step 2: Enter the email address to print in To garden.
Step 3: Choose a Connect button. This may appear as a sheet or other image, depending on your email client.
Step 4: Navigate to the file you want to print. It can be found in the default Files app on your phone, Google Drive, Google Photos, or a third-party app. You need to know where it is in order to merge and print it.
Step 5: Once the file is attached, select the file Send it button.
You can also start this in a slightly different way, by sending the file to your email client directly from the program.
Step 1: Find and open the image or file you want to print. You can do so by going to the Files app, Google Photos, Google Drive, or a third-party app.
Step 2: Select the three dots next to the file and then Share it button. Or, you may need to Send a copy in other applications, such as in Google Docs.
Step 3: Find the email client you like and select the icon.
Step 4: Enter the email address to print in To field and tap Send it.
