Vtiger CRM 2023 Review: Best CRM for SMBs?

What are the Disadvantages of Vtiger CRM?

Vtiger is one of our favorite CRMs at SBB, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect.

Some limitations of Vtiger CRM are:

  • This site can be user-friendly at times – While using Vtiger CRM, we found that the site opens new tabs (we had about 20 open without clicking “new tab”). This can be a barrier to entry, considering we’ve tested other CRMs that are easier to use than Vtiger.
  • The mobile app needs work – We found the mobile app to be difficult to use at times and not as intuitive as we would have liked. For example, there was a navigation menu that would not complete no matter how hard we tried. It made running a mobile app a total hassle.

How to Get Started with Vtiger CRM

We started with Vtiger CRM by looking at the first page. We were first greeted with beautiful images and a call to action to start a 15-day free trial with the service.

We signed up to be tested by entering our Small Business Bonfire email address. We verified our email address by clicking on the link, and logged in.

Next, we filled out several fields, including:

  • Name
  • Business name
  • Password

Vtiger CRM Review - Upgrading

The last step was to decide the number of users and what we would use the platform for. For our testing purposes, we chose both.

Vtiger CRM Review - The Basics

From there, we were taken to our dashboard, where we started adding our affiliate marketing, managing leads/contacts, and the rest is history!

All in all, Vtigeter was easy to get started with, but The platform had a bit of a learning curve how we got into it.

It wasn’t the best marketing experience we’ve ever had, but it all worked out – 4/5 stars in our book.

Is Vtiger CRM Easy to Use?

Let’s be honest; Vtiger has a bit of a learning curve. There are a lot of powerful features here, and as a result, it can be overwhelming for new users.

We saw that we were browsing this site, it always opens new tabsleaving our browser full of tabs that we were switching back and forth.

It’s like a game of whack-a-mole. You think you have everything sorted, but you find that you are missing something very important.

However, after navigating the platform for a while and getting used to Vtiger’s interface, we were able to find it and start using its power.

The good news is that the platform has it tons of helpful articles and tutorials to help you get started.

But if you choose Vtiger as your CRM solution, don’t expect a quick implementation. It will take time and effort, but it’s worth the money once you’re up and running.

Vtiger CRM integration

Vtiger offers additional features and integrations (shown below) to help customize CRM to fit your business.

Vtiger CRM Review - App Integration

Other notable additions include:

  • MailChimp
  • Magento
  • Zero
  • WhatsApp
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • LinkedIn

We use MailChimp for most of our Small Business Bonfire email marketing services, so we were excited to see it included.

With just a few clicks, we were able to download and integrate MailChimp with Vtiger CRM.

Vtiger also allows you to easily download documents from the following locations:

  • Google Drive
  • Dropbox
  • One Drive

Once your documents are downloaded, Vtiger seamlessly connects with DocuSign and Zoho Sign to update the signature—making it easier to close deals.

At the end of the day, when it comes to integration, Vtiger delivers the goods.

Vtiger CRM Customer Review

Customer service is one area where Vtiger shines. In our testing, we reached out via live chat with a simple question (about MailChimp integration) to see the response of their support team.

We heard back in less than 30 minutes, which was good. The contributor provided a detailed answer, full of useful links.

However, we were able to answer this question ourselves (in less than a minute) using Vtiger’s extensive knowledge base.

The search engine allowed us to do so easily find what we need in a useful article.

In terms of customer service, we thought Vtiger was the best!
