Ttp: Pakistan army says ‘sanctuaries’ of TTP in Afghanistan as major security threat

ISLAMABAD: Safe haven given to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan was one of the main factors that have affected Pakistan’s security, the country’s army concluded at a meeting of corps commanders, led by the army chief. Syed Asim Munirin Rawalpindi on Monday.

This is the second time in less than a week that Pakistan’s military has criticized the Taliban-led Afghan government for providing safe havens to the Taliban. Pakistani Talibanhas been blamed for recent attacks in military areas in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – two regions that have seen a surge in violence since the TTP broke its ceasefire with Islamabad in November last year.
