When was Special Ops: Lioness released and what is it about?

Special Ops: Lioness started on July 23, 2023, at Winner + much to the delight of fans around the world. The description of the series reads, “Special Ops: Lion, inspired by the US military program, follows Joe’s life as he tries to balance his personal and professional life while at the tip of the CIA’s counter-terrorism mission.” It continues, “The Lioness Program enlists a Marine Raider to work undercover alongside Joe among the government’s top terrorists in an attempt to thwart the next 9/11.”

Originally called Lioness, the series was announced to have changed its title to Special Ops: Lioness in May 2023. The first two episodes are available on Paramount Plus.
