This movie, which has a talented actor Cillian Murphy as the legendary Robert J Oppenheimer, the father of the atomic bomb, has been receiving rave reviews since its initial release. The highly anticipated project is scheduled to premiere in the US on July 17, Monday. But recent updates suggest that the show has been cancelled.

Oppenheimer’s first US show canceled amid SAG AFTRA

According to recent reports from Variety, the production banner Universal Pictures has decided to cancel the US premiere of Oppenheimer, which was supposed to take place on July 17, Monday. According to the latest updates, the Red Carpet event that was supposed to take place before the Christopher Nolan show will not take place as planned. But, the Cillian Murphy actor will continue with the show as planned.

“In support of the ongoing boycott of SAG, the filmmakers of ‘Oppenheimer’ will not be attending the NY premiere as originally planned, instead they will be screening the film to celebrate the crew and artisans who helped make this iconic film,” Universal confirmed. For the uninitiated, Oppenheimer stars, including lead director Cillian Murphy, Matt Damon, and Emily Blunt made headlines after the jump UK Premiere scene of the film.
