Meet the MCU’s newest Kree character, Dar-Benn, in The Marvels trailer

Brie Larson returns as Captain Marvel, who finds herself in a confusing universe Amazing.

Marvel Studios may not have a panel at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but it did release a shiny full trailer. Amazing, The fifth installment of the MCU, directed by Nia DaCosta (Candyman).

Like it has already been said, Brie Larson and Iman Vellani reprise their roles as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel and Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel for the film, along with Teyonah Parris as Monica Rambeau, the daughter of Carol/Captain Marvel’s BFF Maria. Monica grew up to be SWORD’s agent, but due to the events of WandaVision, can also absorb and control energy like the Spectrum. But Khan, also known as Ms. Marvel, is a Pakistani American girl living in Jersey City. He is a huge fan of comic books, idolizes Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel, and dreams of becoming a superhero one day. His powers are derived from the Terrigen Mists, released worldwide in the compilation story, “Inhumanity.” The molds caused inhuman cells in several people, including Kamala.

Naturally, Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will be there to lend a helping hand, along with Goose’s favorite cat-like Goose Flerken (played by two cats, Nemo and Tango). Saagar Shaikh, Zenobia Shroff, and Mohan Kapur will star again Ms. Marvel roles as the elder Kamala Aamir, mother Muneeba, and father Yusuf, respectively. Lashana Lynch will return as Maria Rambeau (one assumes in a flashback), and Randall Park will return as Jimmy Woo. There’s also a new villain named Dar-Benn, played by Zawe Ashton—the previously mentioned Kree mutant, who wields the Hammer of the Adversary. Park Seo-joon (Parasite) was also cast as Carol’s unnamed friend, and Colin Stoneley played a Kree scientist named Papp-Tonn.

According to the government:

Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, reclaims her name from the brutal Kree and takes revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But an unexpected outcome sees Carol take on the burden of an unstable environment. When his duties send him to a mysterious worm connected to a Kree mutant, his powers are drawn to Jersey City’s biggest fan, Kamala Khan aka Ms. Marvel, and Carol’s nephew, is now SABER astronaut Captain Monica Rambeau. Together, these three suspects must unite and learn to work together to save the universe as “The Incredibles.”

The studio released a teaser in Aprilto build Ms. MarvelAt the end, when Captain Marvel suddenly appears in Kamala Khan’s bedroom while Kamala is found in space with Goose Amazings).

The trailer opens with Fury greeting Carol, who is somewhere deep. (He calls her “the prodigal son of the Milky Way,” while she calls him “the beloved one-eyed traitor.”) Cut to Carol/Captain Marvel’s tense encounter with Dar-Benn, who calls Carol a “spoiler” and accuses her of taking everything from Dar-Benn. Dar-Benn wants to return the favor in the form of a magical bracelet similar to the one that gave Kamala her Ms. Marvel powers. The Ms. Marvel The story says that the bracelet was created by the Djinn, although one popular theory is that it is an ancient Kree artifact called “Nega-Bands” that gives power to the wearer.

Whatever the bracelet is, it’s what interferes with the light powers of the Marvel-ous trio (Carol can absorb light, Monica can see and control all light, and Kamala can turn light into a physical object). Now, every time they try to use their powers, they switch places in the universe, and little hijinks ensue. Dar-Benn takes advantage of the chaos to explore “every country we call home,” according to Carol. Fortunately, Captain Marvel has a few super friends to help him deal with the threat, not to mention Goose and a group of cute cats that we wouldn’t be surprised to learn are Flerkens,

Amazing It is expected to start on November 10, 2023.
