Erika Jayne insists her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-star Kyle Richards is not breaking up with her ex-husband, Mauricio Umansky.
“I’ll let Kyle really explain, but he’s not breaking up,” Jayne said confidently in a Billboard interview published Friday.
“They have faced a lot of difficulties. They accept this,” he continued, referring to a statement the couple released hours after Page Seven confirmed their split after 27 years of marriage.
Jayne – who is still dealing with the aftermath of her messy split from disgraced ex-lawyer Tom Girardi – thinks it’s “good” for Richards to “tell her own story.”
“I remember when I was going through my divorce/tragedy, there were a lot of people talking that didn’t know what I was going through,” the “Pretty Mess” singer shared.
Jayne, 52, felt the aforementioned people had “filled in the blanks” – and said she didn’t want to do the same to Richards.
“I just know it’s been very difficult, and you’ll see,” added Jayne.
He will be able to explain himself, and that is where I want to leave it.
Earlier last week, a source told People that Richards, 54, and Umansky, 53, had “separated for a while” but added that they “remain in love” and still live “under the same roof.”
The couple, who married in January 1996, took to their Instagram pages to insist that “any claims relating to [them] divorce is blind.”
“However, yes, we have had a difficult year. The most difficult thing in our family,” they agreed.
“But we all love and respect each other very much.”

The Bravolebrity and the real estate broker went on to say that “there was nothing wrong” and asked their followers to “not create false news to support another bad story.”
While fans suspect that Richards’ close relationship with country singer Morgan Wade may have led to her marital problems, the mother-of-four has denied claims that the two are dating.
Meanwhile, the actress, who recently told the paparazzo that she is “not single,” and the founder of the Agency, who is still wearing her wedding ring, have been living together and participating in social media.
But when Page Six caught up with Bravo honcho Andy Cohen on Wednesday, he joked that viewers will get signs of trouble in paradise when “RHOBH” Season 13 begins to drop.
“I think if you watch the new season of ‘Beverly Hills,’ you won’t be surprised [by Richards and Umansky’s split],” he told us, although he was “surprised” when he heard the news.
Although filming for the upcoming season wrapped months ago, we’ve been able to confirm that cameras were picked up to film the aftermath of the shocking reveal.
“This development has rocked the world of Bravo,” an insider told us exclusively.
“The producers know that fans want to know how Kyle and Mauricio made this decision.”
The pair are parents to daughters Alexia, 27, Sophia, 23, and Portia, 15, while Richards shares daughter Farrah, 34, with her first husband, Guraish Aldjufrie.
