Chicago-born rapper Lil Durk is reportedly on the mend after spending a week in the hospital. According to TMZDurk was treated for dehydration and exhaustion.

According to his release, the rapper reportedly fell ill while in Ohio. Durk was hospitalized on Thursday, July 6, according to a source close to him.
The source added that the rapper chose to go to the hospital “as a precaution.” However, upon arrival, Durk and his team were reportedly informed that the rapper’s illness was “much more serious than he and his team thought.”
Additionally, a source revealed that Durk was released from the hospital on Thursday.
Durk’s Hospital Says It Interferes With His Work Practices
TMZ reported that Durk’s hospitalization forced him to “miss several shows in Europe” and the ESPY Awards earlier this week. In addition, the site adds that the singer has not been approved by medical professionals to return to work “in any way.”

Durk went on to say that he is looking forward to “touching all of his European fans.” However, after “walking day after day,” he has become dehydrated and is advised not to continue his travels due to his exhaustion.
“I was hoping to touch all my fans in Europe, performing this week (at the end), going to the ESPYs and more but after performing and traveling every day I have been dehydrated and advised by doctors not to travel due to exhaustion…”
However, once he regains “all his strength,” Durk declared, “it will be back to his work.” Additionally, sharing that her return to work is something she is “looking forward to” the most.
“As soon as I get my full strength back, I’ll get back to the business I’m looking forward to. #AchiriEverything.”
