Alabama Authorities Search for Missing Mother


The Hoover Police Department in Alabama is searching for 25-year-old Carlethia “Carlee” Nichole Russell. According to DepartmentRussell disappeared after calling 911 about “a small child walking across the block.”

According to a Facebook post by the Hoover Police Department on Friday, the station received a call from the 25-year-old on Thursday evening. At the time of the call, Russell explained that he was “on I-459 South near mile marker 11” when he saw “a baby walking on the side of the road.”

After speaking with authorities, the station reported that Russell went to the child while calling a family member to “say the same thing.”

However, during the call, the family member was said to have “lost contact” with Russell “but the line remained open.”

“He called 911 when he left. He got out of the car. I think he probably let her off the hook thinking 911 would be there in a minute,” Russell’s mother, Talitha Russell, told them. Alabama Local.

Talitha Russell explained that her daughter was talking to her brother’s boyfriend. However, the girl “never heard the child say anything” and instead heard the 25-year-old’s “screaming”.
