From a hit series about high school football to a true crime mystery, here are five TV shows on Hulu to watch this summer.
Friday Night Lights (2006-2011)
“Clear eyes, full hearts, never lose.” These encouraging words from Coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) became a rallying cry for fans of Friday Night Lights. TV series is based on HG Bissinger’s non-fiction book and was adapted from the 2004 film of the same name. In the fictional Texas town of Dillion, high school football is king. The Dillon Panthers are the main attraction, and at the center of the pandemonium is Coach Taylor, who preaches the love of family and football.
For the team, Coach Taylor is the mentor of star players Tim Riggins (Taylor Kitsch), Smash Williams (Gaius Charles), and Matt Saracen (Zach Gilford). To his family, Coach Taylor is a loving husband to Tami Taylor (Tami Taylor) and a loving father to Julie Taylor (Aimee Teegarden). Remember Elizabeth Holmes, the self-made billionaire who became one of the most famous entrepreneurs thanks to her blood test company, Theranos? Well, it turns out that Holmes was a fraud, too The Dropout shows his meteoric rise and catastrophic fall. Amanda Seyfried stars as Holmes, a college dropout who founded Theranos, a company that many believe will revolutionize medical practice with home blood tests.
However, the test did not work, but this did not stop Holmes from embezzling millions. Based on the ABC News podcast of the same name, The Dropout is an eye-opening and hilarious portrait of how one woman’s quest to become the next Steve Jobs ended in scandal and controversy.

Under the Banner of Heaven (2022)
What happens True Detective explore the Mormon faith? The results are Under the banner of Heaven, Hulu’s true crime drama based on Jon Krakauer’s 2003 novel of the same name. The story begins in Utah after the brutal murder of Brenda Lafferty (Daisy Edgar-Jones), a member of the Mormon Church, and her daughter.
Detective Jeb Pyre (Andrew Garfield, still the best Spider-Man ever) and Detective Bill Taba (Gil Birmingham) are assigned the case. Jeb, also a Mormon, begins to uncover disturbing secrets about his religion and how it played a role in Brenda’s death. Religion aside, Under the banner of Heaven is a compelling crime thriller featuring the iconic characters from Garfield.

Bear (2022-)
I am A bear drama or drama? Honestly, it’s both, and that’s the only reason the Emmys care A bear the comedy is of its half-hour duration. Semantics aside, A bear has quickly become one of the best shows on television after two excellent seasons. Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (Jeremy Allen White), an award-winning chef, has returned to Chicago to run her late brother’s Italian beef sandwich restaurant.
Upon arrival, Carmy learns that the restaurant is in deep debt. The workers are inexperienced, the equipment is dangerous, and the place is falling apart. Faced with an impossible task, Carmy steps up to save the restaurant from failure. With stunning performances from the cast and a brilliant script from creator Christopher Storer, A bear combines culinary vocabulary with emotional depth to create a winning formula.

Justified: City Primeval (2023)
From 2010-2015, Timothy Olyphant acted as the antagonist US Marshal Raylan Givens on. Justification. Eight years later, Olyphant dons Givens’ hat to enter again Justified: City Primeval. Based on the design by Elmore Leonard, City Primeval transports Givens from Kentucky to Miami, where he continues to work as a US Marshal while juggling his role as a father to his teenage daughter (Vivian Olyphant).
After encountering violence in Miami, Raylan is called to Detroit to arrest Clement Mansell (Boyd Holbrook), a criminal known as “The Oklahoma Wildman.” The first two parts of the Justified: City Primeval premiered July 18 on FX, with new episodes airing every Tuesday.
