Josh Reynolds pitched for the last time in his professional career.
The Bulldogs’ prodigy announced his retirement over the weekend. He was previously cut from the Bulldogs top-30 list to allow the club to sign Toby Sexton.
His final game was against the North Sydney Bears in the NSW Cup, fittingly at his beloved Belmore Sports Ground.
Accompanied by his mother and a friend, Reynolds was in tears as he walked down the player’s race for the last time, then through the corridor of staff and members of the Bulldogs’ NRL team, on the field ahead of their 20th NRL championship. and the Broncos.
Reynolds was named at No.6 in his last game, which is not going according to plan. The Bulldogs were not well received and mistakes were made in the first half. They entered the sheds trailing 20-6.
The club also renamed the hill Josh Reynolds Hill in his honour.
