A veteran rapper Jadakiss he has worked with Kanye West in the past, on the Donda album and shares a good relationship with him. Recently, the veteran rapper appeared on The Adam Friedland Show, where he discussed his career, his thoughts on music culture, and more. The rapper also talked about his relationship with celebrities Kanye West.
Kanye West wasn’t as ‘weird’ as he used to be?
In a recent interview with Adam Friedland, Jadakiss admitted that West isn’t as “weird” as it used to be. The Lox rapper revealed his connection with Kanye and how the artist has changed over time. The conversation started when Friedland asked about Jadakiss’s interest in Kanye and JAY-Z’s hit song ‘Brothers In Paris,’ which he jokingly explained.
Jadakiss said it was “a great song”. When asked about what the Praise God rapper has been up to lately, Jadakiss opened up and shared, “I’ve met Kanye five or six times. The first four were amazing. The last two were a little…”
Jadakiss has been vocal about Kanye West’s controversy in the past. Back in October, in an interview with TMZ, he encouraged fans to pray for Kanye and expressed hope that he would find redemption.
The rapper said for sure that he always supports artists, even if he says or does stupid things, and he believes that Kanye will be fine in the end. He accepted the industry movement, where artists are built, torn down, and then built again.
Jadakiss and Kanye West collaboration
Despite all of Kanye’s doubts, Jadakiss still collaborated with him on the track Jesus Lord Pt. 2 on Kanye’s 2021 album, Donda, which was a huge success. Jadakiss produced the song alongside talented producers such as, Jay Electronica, Swizz Beatz, and fellow LOX members Styles P and Sheek Louch.
In an interview with HipHopDX, Jadakiss revealed that someone from Kanye’s crew reached out to his eldest son, which led to West meeting them after the Verzuz event. The group flew to the studio and performed the song, which was very special and rewarding for them.
